Reviews & Accolades

Here are just a couple of reviews and accolades that we have received:

Certificate of Merit from the city of New Orleans for outstanding serviced conferred by Marc H. Morial, Mayor of New Orleans, January 27, 1998.

“The dinner that I had at the Delta Grill on my last visit to New York was one of the finest replications of New Orleans cooking that I have ever tasted. The staff was warm and friendly, the atmosphere made me feel like I was having a meal in the French Quarter.”
--Stephen J. Daney - Executive Chef for the Mayor of New Orleans.

“Delta’s portions are big and its prices are easy.”
--Connie McCabe, TimeOut New York

“The roadhouse-revival décor is a properly rustic setting for po’ boys, jambalaya, e’touffee, BBQ alligator.”
--New York Magazine

If you’re searching for some southern hospitality, stroll inside The Delta Grill (9th Avenue on the corner of 48th). This bar and grill is a slice of Louisiana that rings true. The Delta Grill maintains a superior beer selection including choice favorites from the Abita Brewing Company (based out of Abita Springs, Louisiana) and the Dixie Brewing Company (whose operation was extremely damaged during Hurricane Katrina but continues to operate through other breweries). The crowd is lively, the service friendly and the clientele loyal. As I was sipping my beer, Michael Emmerson (Ben from NBC’s Lost) stopped in to pick up his dinner for the evening. I almost didn’t notice since the beer in my hand, a delicious Belgium Amber called Ommegang Rare Vos, was stealing my attention. Add on a true southern food menu of waffles, biscuits and gravy and jambalaya and you’ve got yourself a treasure straight out of the bayou.  CULTUREMOB
